T-Ball
The perfect first season. Kids hit off a tee, learn the basics, and run the bases — usually in the right direction.
- Holding a bat and swinging at the tee
- Throwing and catching a soft safety ball
- Running the bases and cheering for teammates
Community baseball and softball for boys and girls ages 4–12 across the Valley. Every kid plays, every kid learns, and every season ends with new friends — and a trophy.
Valley Little League has been putting kids on the diamond in the Wilkes-Barre area for decades. We're not a travel-ball program or a training academy — we're the league your neighbors coach, your coworkers umpire, and your kids will remember forever.
Players are placed by age as of April 30, 2027. Not sure where your child fits? The registration form figures it out for you.
The perfect first season. Kids hit off a tee, learn the basics, and run the bases — usually in the right direction.
Real baseball and softball, sized right for growing players. Coaches pitch early in the season, then kids start pitching.
The full game. Kid pitchers, real strategy, and a season-ending championship tournament under the lights.
One flat fee covers the whole season — no hidden costs, no mandatory fundraisers. Fill out the form and we'll take it from there.
Second child? Take $15 off each additional sibling. And if the fee is ever the reason a child can't play, talk to us — scholarship spots are available, no forms or fuss.
We'll email your practice schedule before opening day.

Predictable weeknights, Saturday games, and a season that wraps up before summer vacation takes over. Families can actually plan around this.
Our league runs on volunteer coaches, and most of them started exactly where you are: a parent who showed up. If you can cheer, encourage, and keep a lineup straight, we can teach you the rest.
Every new coach gets a free pre-season training clinic, a practice-plan binder with a drill for every week, and a veteran coach as a mentor. You'll never stand on the field wondering what to do next.
Safety comes first, always. Every coach and regular volunteer completes Pennsylvania's child abuse history and criminal background clearances before the season starts. The league walks you through it — and covers the cost.
One or two practices plus a Saturday game — and head coaches get first pick of practice times. Assistant coaches, team parents, scorekeepers, and concession helpers are welcome too.
Mention it in the questions box on the registration form, or just give us a call.
Everything families ask us most — answered before you have to email anyone.
Games are every Saturday between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM, from Opening Day on April 10 through Championship Day on June 19. Practices are Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 7:00 PM. Your team's exact schedule is emailed before the season starts.
Just three things of their own: a glove, cleats, and a water bottle. The league provides team bats, balls, batting helmets, and catcher's gear. See the full list on this page — and if buying gear is a hardship, ask us about our equipment exchange closet before you spend a dollar.
We make the call by 7:30 AM on game day (and by 4:00 PM for evening practices) and notify every family by text and email. Rained-out games are made up on weeknight evenings or added to the following Saturday — every team still gets its full 12 games.
Absolutely — it's the norm, not the exception. Most T-Ball and Minors players are brand new, and coaches are trained to teach true beginners. Nobody is cut, and league rules guarantee every child bats in every game.
For T-Ball and Minors, yes — write the request in the "Questions or notes" box on the registration form and we'll do our best. Majors teams are drafted by coaches to keep games competitive, so friend requests can't be guaranteed at that level.
Full refunds are available until teams are formed in mid-March, no questions asked. After that, we refund 50% until Opening Day. If cost is the issue at any point, talk to us — we'd rather work something out than lose a player.
Your team's schedule email will always say which field you're on — double-check before you drive!
"I signed up to coach because my daughter asked me to. I'd never coached anything. The training clinic and the practice plans made it easy — and it ended up being the best spring of my life."
"Both my kids started here with zero experience. Nobody sat the bench, nobody got yelled at, and both of them beg to go back every spring. It's just a well-run league."
"Saturday games at Veterans Park are our family's whole weekend plan in the spring — in a good way. Grandparents, folding chairs, concession hot dogs. This is what childhood is supposed to look like."
